NARS Dolce Vita Blush | Review

Everyone knows that NARS blushers look absolutely incredible and all the colours are so beautiful. Dolce Vita is described as a dusty rose. It's a dark berry pinkish-red matte blush that I adore. It only contains the tiniest amount of shimmer in it so its perfect to be worn in the day or paired with a shimmering highlighter it would be perfect for an evening event.

"NARS offers the industry's most iconic shades for cheeks. Natual, healthy-looking colour that immediately enlivens the complexion. A light application of even the highest-intensity hues delivers a natural-looking flush."

The one thing that I love about this blush is that it's a build-able, long lasting pigmented blush that doesn't over power your whole make up (as long as you don't pile it on your face with no care in the world). It leaves a velvet smooth finish and is easy to blend which means that you don't have to worry about it leaving a harsh strip of pinkish-red down your face. Whenever I wear this colour I do have to make sure that I only put a tiny bit on my brush because it's very easy to make it look like you've been in the sun for too long and look sun burnt because it is so pigmented. I suggest for people with naturally red cheeks that you use this product lightly because you might find that this blusher makes the redness stand out more.

The colour is very much like both MAC Supernova and MAC Mocha. Supernova is pinkier and less red whereas the mocha is just a bit lighter. The colour in the pan looks quite frightening but applying small bits at a time will help you to achieve a perfect wash of berry on your cheeks.

Its defiantly a colour that i'm excited about using this Autumn and Winter.

The only downfalls of this blusher are that in my opinion this blush would look better on people who have an olive or darker skin tone compared with someone who had a really light skin tone as I think  the blusher would be too dark for them as its so pigmented.

Another thing that I didn't particularly like was the packaging. The black packaging that the blush comes in gets finger prints on it so easily which makes the whole thing look dirty and there is no way of stopping this happening.

Have you used this blusher before and loved it or do you love a different NARS blusher?
