Bobbi Brown Instant Detox Face Mask | Review

Face masks are something that are essential in my skincare routine and will make sure that I use at least one a week. So when Bobbi Brown released new face masks earlier in the year to their skin care range I knew that I had to try them. There are 3 different face masks which each target different skin concerns and have different goals for achieving glowing skin with three different treatments. There are 3 in the range: instant detox, skin nourish and radiance boost. In this post I will be reviewing the instant detox face mask and be telling you how I got on with it.

Halloween Traditions

Halloween is a holiday that has never been overly celebrated in our family especially now we have all grown up. When we were little we would always do things the same so I guess you could call them traditions so in this blog post i'm going to tell you all about my families Halloween traditions when we were younger and how they are different now.

Autumn Candle Collection

To me candles are an all year round thing but having candles burning while it's cold outside in the Autumn and Winter just makes a room so much more cosier. Nothing better than snuggling up with a blanket on the sofa, watching your favourite film and having candles burning in the background to make the room smell delightful. Everyone has different tastes in candles just like everyone has different tastes in food. Taste buds but for your nose? I'm a person who goes for sweet or floral smelling candles. I'm not a massive fan of candles that smell like cinnamon or many candles that smell like spices for that matter.

Around this time of the year all the shops bring out their Autumn and Winter candles and it makes me so excited. I've not gone overboard this year because I found out last year there are only a certain about of candles you can burn before you end up with loads left over. Which you then have to store in the cupboard till next year. So these are the candles which I have decided to put in mines and Adams room this Autumn.

Ectopic pregnancy....my journey #Pregnancyandinfantlossawarness

Saturday 15th October was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness day and throughout the whole of October people have been raising awareness of pregnancy and infant loss. It’s something that isn’t talked about much as people don’t know how to approach the subject and that’s something that needs to change because it’s something that is very real and happens every single day. This post might be a long one and not for squeamish people but grab a brew and a biscuit and hopefully see that pregnancy isn’t always as straight forward as you think.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and Toner | Review

When it comes to finding the right make up remover and cleanser you want something which visibly removes all of your make up and makes your skin feel clean and fresh. It took me ages to find a really good one and most of the time i'd just rely on make up wipes because every cleanser I used just made my face feel oily. These products are different though and I love them.

Is using social media really that important for your blog?

Everyone who's anyone knows what social media is. These days children who are 5 years old to people aged 70+ know what Twitter and Facebook are. If used correctly then they can play a big role in the way that we, us bloggers, promote our blogs and the contents on them. I've been blogging over a year and i'm still getting to grips with using social media platforms and still figuring out the best way to use my time wisely, because as we all know as soon as you get reading a few things and hour can pass in an instance.

NARS Dolce Vita Blush | Review

Everyone knows that NARS blushers look absolutely incredible and all the colours are so beautiful. Dolce Vita is described as a dusty rose. It's a dark berry pinkish-red matte blush that I adore. It only contains the tiniest amount of shimmer in it so its perfect to be worn in the day or paired with a shimmering highlighter it would be perfect for an evening event.

Bobbi Brown long-wear even finish foundation Vs Mac studio fix fluid foundation

When it comes to high end make up there is always a big debate about which brand is better. I have always stuck with either Mac foundation or Bobbi Brown foundation but i'm open to other suggestions of your favourite high end foundations to try. I am aware that the foundations in the picture look a totally different colour to each other but there is only around one shade different in the colours and the Bobbi Brown bottle is not see through which makes it look a lot lighter.

Summer round-up

Since we are at the end of summer I thought I would do a blog post that rounds up my whole summer and talk about my favourite things that happened. This summer has been amazing, I never knew you could squish so many things into a couple of months. Most of the weather has been amazing and we have had some amazing sunshine but I do live in England so you have to put with the rainy days and still make the most of it.

Autumn lip colour- berry lips

It's that time of year where it's acceptable to bring out the berry lip, my favourite lip colour ever. The berry lip can be the one thing that pulls together an Autumn outfit. When I think of Autumn I hope for crunchy leaves, golden light and picturesque scenery but in reality we can look forward too lots of wind and soggy leaves on the floor, so I think that a berry lip can help you find that Autumnal feeling. As much as we all love bright pinks and pastel colours in the spring, I think it's something that all bloggers look forward to throughout the year and think about way in advance before summer has even finished.

Family holiday to wales 20th August- 27th August 2016

 If you have been reading my blog for a while you may remember my post from last year documenting my holiday to wales. If you can't remember or want to check back then you can do so here;

This year we took the same holiday and created some more amazing memories. I went again with the same people as last year with just one new addition, Lilah baby, my new niece. This blog post will be very photo heavy just because I can't choose my favourites and I think photos can describe things better than I can.

Bobbi Brown Collection

We all love make up, doesn't matter if it is high end bands or off the high street because lets be honest there are some really good high street make up products. Over the past few months i've really fallen in love with Bobbi Brown products. If you have read my post about my 18th make up you will know that my first experience wasn't the best but after buying the products and being able to do it myself at home really showed me a different side to the products. It just goes to show its not the make up which looks nice, its how its applied. I've even purchased more products and loved them just as much.

Horror to perfect in a couple of hours.....Make up for my 18th

My 18th birthday was such a memorable time that I will look back at it for years to come and will always put a smile on my face. Make up, hair, venue, balloons, outfit and shoes all had to be sorted. It was stressful trying to get everything sorted but all fell into place in the end.

Walking down the broken road

Last week England surprised us all, we had a beautiful few days of lovely sunshine. i'm not just talking a bit of sunshine breaking through the clouds but no clouds in the sky and 25/27 degree heat. Even though I was still in college and getting the last parts of my work done I scrapped that for a few days and enjoyed the sunshine because you never know how long it is going to last when you live in England.

2 years....was it worth it?

2 years of college has finally has come to an end. Its crazy to think that i'm now out into the real world and out of education. It has been the most eye opening experience i've had so far in my life and i'll never forget it. I've learn't so much, not just educational but about myself and knowledge that I can use in the real world.

The reason I originally went to college in the first place was because I had no other choice and I had to stay in education. I chose to do Health and Social Care because I always knew it was something i'd like to go into because my mum and nana were both nurses and I always liked the idea of helping people. I knew that with this course I would be able to work with all ages and not just be tied down to a certain age range.

Naked pallets 1,2 & 3

You know when you look at make up and you just become mesmerised by it's beauty? Well that's what happens every time I look at any of my naked pallets. They are beautiful, each and every colour is just like a little bit of heaven. They are really pigmented which makes them so easy to use and they blend beautifully. I love that each pallet has a different sort of colours in it because this means that there are endless combinations that you can put together.

Long time no speak!

Its been a long time! A couple of months.....a lot has happened. I've tried to get back into blogging but with a mix of bloggers block and assignments stacked up to the ceiling it found it really difficult. I'm back on track thought and i'm feeling really confident in myself that college and everything is going well.

I thought to break things in we'd just have a catch up and a chat....well me chat and you read. My last post was nearly 2 months ago! Wow! I have been secretly stalking and keeping up to date with a few blog posts and twitters but i've been trying to spend more time with friends and family, like I explained in my blog post you're not a real blogger. I wrote that post while I was in the middle of my break and just needed to get it off my chest really. All bloggers have to take a break at some point....doesn't matter if it is a few days or a few months, you sometimes just have to take a step back until you are really going to enjoy it again.

You're not a real blogger.....

'Call yourself a blogger?' 'You've not blogged in 3 weeks'. Yes I do still call myself a blogger, just because i've missed a few posts doesn't mean i'm gone or not blogging anymore. I love blogging but I think some people forget that we're only human....we have our own lives too and when they get difficult we have to prioritise, education and family will always come before my blog and when they need to be focused on, they will.

Most, if not all of us started our blog as a hobby. A hobby that we loved and did it for the pure fact that it was something that we enjoyed doing. Obviously you want to impress people with your blog but personally I never set out to have my whole life focused on impressing other people with my blog, especially if it made me ill with all the stress that gets piled on top.

Unfortunately in college most of our tutors have either gone on maternity leave or have gone off sick and now we only have 1 tutor between 4 groups which means that we've had to change college days, we're not getting work back and we've had all of our assignments dumped on us in hope that we'll get on with them on our own and won't keep asking our tutor questions. This means that we have so much work that we have no clue how to do dumped on us in hope that we'll have it all in as soon as possible. Mad right?

And i'm the worlds biggest procrastinator which means that it takes me forever to do anything. whether it is an assignment or blogging it takes me 10x the time of the normal person to complete it. I get distracted so easily so could be writing an assignment one minute and the next minute I could have decided I need to sort my wardrobe out.

I don't want to feel like I have to sit and write blog post because that actually makes me feel like I don't want to. So the the few small minded people who send the messages like 'why are you not blogging' or 'if you're not blogging how do you call yourself a blogger' take a step back and remember that we're all human and we all still have our own personal lives.

I do have to say a huge thank you to all the people who do support my blog because without you guys there wouldn't be anyone who read my blog.
And a massive congratulation to Emmysbeautycave for winning my 700 follower give away!

Do you think that it is right for people to take a small break from blogging?

What to expect when doing work placement in a school.

Hi lovelies!

I kinda took a break from blogging for a while as my college work was stacking up and I have always said that my college work will always come before blogging because if I don't complete it then I will not pass my course. I also had a lot of things going on in my personal life which I needed to get sorted but I feel that everything is now back on track and I'm back blogging!

My break has really given me a time to think about what blogs I want to write and how I want my blog to be. I have so many beauty blogs coming up and also a giveaway very soon! So keep an eye on my blog!

Over the past couple of years I've been doing many different work placements in schools and nurseries so I thought today I would do a post on what to expect when doing your work placement in a school.

5 good things this month- January

This is a new things that i'm trying this year. I usually post on every Wednesday and Sunday of the month but on the last Friday of each month i'm going to start a series of '5 good things' from the month. I think sometimes we get caught up on all the bad things that have happened in our lives and focus on them that we forget the good parts. We let the bad pull us down and forget to let the good pull us back up again. These series helps to remind me, and you guys to focus more on the good. So if you want to take part in this series with me then message me to let me know!
I know this post is late....i'm sorry, can you forgive me?

10 things i'd tell my younger self

Everyone looks back on their life and would change at least one thing. I've made so many mistakes growing up but thinking about it now there isn't much i'd change, maybe a few fashion senses but other than that not much. All my experiences, life choices and mistakes have lead me to where I am today and have made me the person I am today. Cliché right? But it's true. I don't look at mistakes as a mistake, I look at them as a learning curve.

Girl online on tour review - Zoe Sugg

Girl online on tour was released back in October 2015 and I gave it a few months for everyone to get round to reading it before I wrote my review. Girl online on tour is the sequel to girl online, released November 2014 and I think its a fantastic book teenage girls.

I'm not the biggest book reader so for me to find a book that I like and want to sit down and read is a rare occasion. Girl online and fault in our stars are the only books that had done this before so I was expecting good things from this book. It certainly lived up to my expectations, it was a real page turner, I didn't want to put it down. I ended up finishing the whole book in under a week.

Buche De Noel Cleanser: Review by Jess Leeman

Hey lovelies,

I'm Jess a 21 year old media Undergraduate and beauty blogger over at www.beautifulbreakable.com - today I'm taking over Kia's beautiful blog to share with you my thoughts on Lush's Buche De Noel cleanser. Do head over to my blog afterwards to read Kia’s review! Right, let’s get started…

I must admit, when I first opened the Buche De Noel I wasn't sure whether I'd be a fan. Nonetheless I decided from day one that I would review this product for you, regardless. I also am 100% aware that Buche De Noel is a seasonal product (sorry!), grab it next Christmas? It's been on my wishlist since last year!

Everyone loves #Thegirlgang

A couple of months ago I was scrolling through twitter and on my timeline I kept seeing the hash tag #girlgang (Now #Thegirlgang). I was really intrigued as to what this was. I was searching and searching until one blogger pointed me over to @Dorkfaceblog. Jemma is a full time blogger who wanted to create a 'special part of the blogging community; that will look out for each other, support and send encouragement wherever we can. Spreading some real joy throughout the blogging world' and with this in mind she created #Thegirlgang.

If you need me....come and find me!

Even though we all have a contact me page, I sometimes think that knowing all of someone's social media platforms can be confusing. Knowing how often they use one platform in comparison with another platform can be good because it lets you know where you'll be able to interact with them more and where you can catch up on their posts and any information. If i've followed someone's social media platforms and then they hardly ever use them then i'll be quite disappointed because i'm following a profile which is not used, pretty pointless really? For example, even though I have pinterest I would never suggest for you guys to go and follow it because I know I don't really use it at this moment in time so it would be pretty pointless for you.

My top 12 blogging tips

I have been running this blog for just over a year now and I have learnt so much from doing it.  Before I started my blog I had no clue where to even start. I started my blog from scratch and it took me months to get my head round it. I read so many different blogging tips posts to help get me started and they really did help me so I thought that I would write my own to help out other bloggers, whether you are just starting out or have been blogging a while.

So here are my top 12 blogging tips:

Music i'm loving at the moment

Personally I love these kind of post because I love seeing what other people are listening to and discovering new things to listen too. I am constantly listening to music, I listen to it in the shower, when i walk anywhere and it will constantly be on around the house. I love listening to music on youtube because it carries on and plays something else afterwards if you don't change it and if you leave it for long enough you can come across some great artists that you've never heard of before (that's if you don't end up watching videos of cucumbers scaring cats).

Okay I know its now 2016 and we should all be moving on from christmas but I couldn't find a time to squeeze in my blog post from christmas day and boxing day so just for the time you're reading this blog you can sit back and imagine its christmas again (with out all the food, alcohol and presents)

New year resolutions 2016

Happy new year everyone! I hope you all had an amazing night welcoming in the near year. Wow its 2016. I still can't get my head round it, when someone says 'oh it was 3 years ago' I still think that they mean 2007 but that was 9 years ago. My life is flashing before my eyes and i'm scared that i'm going to miss it. So plenty of pictures and blog posts this year to make sure that I don't forget a thing. Today's blog is going to be a nice relaxed one that you can read while you're sat on the sofa feeling sorry for yourself because you drank a little to much alcohol over the past few weeks.
