Blogmas day 3! - Yankee candle haul

Over the past couple of months I have picked up quite a few Yankee candles....maybe a few more than a normal person should have. It is no hidden fact that Yankee candles are a beautiful brand of candles which smell AMAZING.

The first Christmas candle I am going to talk about is candy cane lane. This candle is beautiful! This year was the first time that I have got this candle and I was really surprised with how nice it smelt. It makes the room smell so christmassy, even the morning after and it has been blown out for hours. It smells of peppermint mixed with cookies and a hint of vanilla.

This next one I wasn't too fond on as I really don't like the smell of cinnamon. I don't know what it is about it but I don't like the smell or the taste. When you first take off the lid it smell is really over powering but I can't tell you what it is like when it has been lit as I haven't lit it because it is not one of my favourites.

This is the Christmas eve candle. It has a lovely smell of sugared plums, and candied fruit. It really makes the room smell like you just want to get under a blanket and watch Christmas films and feel really cosy. I also have this in the votive candle.

Another votive that I got was the sparkling snow candle. This candle is officially described as '"the crisp, naturally fresh scent of gleaming, snow-covered pines with hints of patchouli and fruit". It has a lovely fresh scent to it although I personally don't think that it is very strong.

The next votive that I got was the sparkling cinnamon. Again I am not to fond of this one as I am not to fond of the smell of cinnamon. It has a really strong smell to it and a really long lasting scent.

So when you are reading this I will already have started opening this advent calendar. At this moment in time I haven't opened it and it already smells so nice! It contains 20 tea lights and 4 votive candles which are in the following festive scents; candy cane lane, winter glow, snowflake cookie, icicles, bundle up and spiced orange.

These candles are the ones that are not in the Christmas range and will be used next year sometime. The first one that I picked up was black cherry. This candle is wonderful. It has an amazing smell to it and you can defiantly smell the cherries. It is a candle that you can be burning for ages yet still smell the same smell that was there when you first started burning it. If you don't like strong and prominent smells then I don't think this candle is for you.

The next candle that I picked up was the lovely kiku candle which is a light purple colour. This candle instantly stood out to me. I loved the colour so much and it was different to most of the other colours of the candles on the website. This candle has a floral spring scent to it so it would be more used next year. There is a sweet smell to it but not so over powering that you cant smell the floral scents.

The last candle I have is the candy corn candle and I actually used this one all through Halloween this year and I have been really sad to put it away till next year because I fell in love with the smell straight away. I think the reason that I loved this candle so much is because I have a really sweet tooth and this candle smelt so sweet. The jar itself is amazing, it comes in an orange jar with patterns around the outside. I also got a stand to put my candy corn candle in as I thought his just added a little more to it and made it look more like a decoration.
