The Lion King, The musical

So yesterday I went to see Disney's The Lion King in Manchester at the Palace Theatre. I have to say it was amazing! When I think about going out I don't usually think oh i'll go to the theatre but I am so glad I did. My mum booked the tickets as a surprise for me and my siblings back in September and at first I never really thought anything of it or got excited but in the weeks leading up I started to really look forward to it.

The costumes that the people were wearing were incredible! They made the animals look amazing and the actors portrayed the roles so well. They didn't miss parts out of the film/book it was all in there and they kept it entertaining. If something is boring then I'm usually the first one to say and I would probably leave but I sat there for 3 hours completely mesmerised and couldn't stop watching....now that's an achievement!

Me and my family went down on the train to Manchester which takes around an hour then we had to find the place which took us a while aha! We got there about 45 minutes early so we decided to go to a pub for a drink before hand. We watched the show and the only word I can use to describe it is incredible! We went and got food after which was nice because that's always a good way to end the day.

If I had the chance to see this again I wouldn't think twice about it. I would jump at the chance. It put a smile on my face. I don't want to give away any spoilers in case any of you are going to see it but in some parts the have changed little tiny bits which make the whole thing funny or magical.

The lighting, props and music as I said before made the whole room feel magical, and I think that's what made it Disney. Disney has the whole magical thing and I think whatever it is, whether its film, book or musical they always capture that.
